through the torus water cleanup pump inboard Eiccasive isolation valve MO-3-lk-70.

Conditions Prior to Occurrence:

• Unit 3 at approximately 50% power.

Description of Occurrence: of the torus water Cleanup During a routine local leak rate test the inboard valve was found to leak pump suction isolatior. valves, in excess of 2000 cc/ min.

Designation of Apparent Cause of Occurrence: --

Under investigation.

Analysis of Occurrence:

Upon an isolation signal, both the inboard valve (MO-70) and the outboard valve (MO-71) receive isolation cignals. The outboard isolation valve MO-71 irdicated no leakage. Therefore, safety o ',

implications of this occ'urrente are minimal.

-Corrective Action:

!- The line was immediately isolated by closing the outboard isolation valve (MO-71). The valve vill be maintained and retested.
