O'Reilly, Of fice of Inspection and Enforcement, Region 1, United States Nuclear Regulatory Comission on November 5, 1975 In accordance with Section 6 7.2.A of the Technical Specifications, Appendix A of DPR-44 f or Unit 2 Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, the f ollowing report is being submitted to the Directorate of Reactor Licensing as an Abnormal Occurrence.

Inoperable hydraulic snubbers.
Conditions Prior to Occurrence:
Maintenance outage in pr ogress, reactor shutdowr..
Description of Occurrence:
During a routine inspection of the Unit 2 hydraulic snubbers, the reservoirs of five hydeculic snubbc.s were found empty.

_ Designation of Apparent Cause of Occurrence:
Inspection revealed Icaking 0 rings and gaskets.
Analysis of Occurrence:
i Inspection indicated no damage of piping or supports. The i
discovery of the empty reservoirs by this routine inspection demon-l strates the merits of the surveillance program.
]
Corrective Action:
The defective gaskets and 0 rings will be replaced.
Following repair, the snubbers will be checked in a test stand for proper operating capabilitics and leaks.
