O'Reilly, Region 1, Office of Inspection and Enforcement, United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission on November 17, 1975 In accordance with Section 6.7 2.A of the Technical Specifications, Appendix A of DPR-44 f or Uni t 2 Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, the following report is being submitted to the Directorate of Reactor Licensing as an Abnormal Occurrence.

Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station R.D. 1, Delta, Pennsylvania 17314 Identification of Occurrence:
Setpoint of RCIC steam supply line area high temperature switch, TE-TS 4939A, was found to be less conservative than that specified by the Technical Specifications.
Conditions Prior to Occurrence:
Unit 2 shutdown, reactor vessel head removed for scheduled outage work.
Description of Occurrence:
During a routine instrument surveillance test the setpoint of TE-TS 4939A was f ound to have drif ted 2 F above the Technical Speci-f fication limit of 2000F.

_ Designation of Acoarent Cause of Occurrence:
Slight setpoint drift.
Analysis of Occurrence:
Because the setpoint drif t was slight and because the setpoints of the other 3 temperature switches in the 1 out of 2 twice logic were found within technical specification limits when checked, the safety implications of this occurrence are minimal.
Corrective Action:
The switch was immediately recalibrated, tested, and returned to service.

None previous.
