Peach Bottom Atomic Power Staton Unit 2 December i through December 31,1998 I

1. Narrative Summary of Operatina Experiences Unit 2 began the month of December at 100% power.

The unit reduced power to 60% starting at 23:00 on December 11 to perform condenser waterbox cleaning.

I The unit returned to 100% at 05:00 on December 13. j The unit reduced power to 60% starting at 02:00 on December 19 to repair an extraction  !

steam line leak.

The unit reached 100% power at 15:00 on December 19.

Unit 2 ended the month of December at 100% power.

a. The reload included 292 GE-13 bundles which replaced an equal number of GE-11 bundles.

This was the second reload of GE-13 fuel for the unit.

1. Narrative Summary of Operatina Exoeriences Unit 3 began the month of December at 69% power, starting up from an outage to repair l

an instrument nitrogen supply line.

1 The unit returned to 100% power at 17:00 on December 1.

The unit reduced power to 15% starting at 23:00 on December 2 to repair main turbine lube oil booster pump valves.

The generator was removed from the grid at 08:29 on December 3.

l . The generator was synchronized to the grid at 05:49 on December 8.

The unit retumed to 100% power at 03:00 on December 11.

i Unit 3 ended the month of December at 100% power.
