NIAGARAMOHAWKPOWER CORPORATION NINE MLE POINT NUCLEAR STATION UNIT ¹2 NARRATIVEOF OPERATING EXPERIENCE Nine Mile Point Unit Two remained shutdown at the beginning of the reporting period for October 1996 for refueling outage RF05.

The Reactor Mode switch was placed in startup on October 31, 1996 at 1720 hrs. with the reactor critical at 2026 hrs. Startup is continuing at the end of this report with entry into mode one anticipated for November 2, 1996.

There were no challenges to the safety relief valves during this report period.
