l NIAGARA MOHAWK POWER CORPORATION NINE MILE POINT NUCLEAR STA*Il0N UNIT #1 NARRATIVE OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE The station ope:4tcJ during the month of December 1997 with a Unit Availability Factor of 70.3% and... Vet De ign Electrical Capacity Factor of 66.9%. There were no challenges to the Electromatic Relief Valves. Reductions in Capacity Factor were due to the continued forced outage to rept r Eny tgency Condensers. The tube bundles for all 4 Emergency Condensers were replaced. The Outage was completed on December 10, 1997 @ 0516 when the unit was synchronized to the grid. The duration of the outage was 2,060 hours6.944444e-4 days
0.0167 hours
9.920635e-5 weeks
2.283e-5 months
(85.8 days). Also, on December 19 & 20,1997, power was reduced to recover 4 control rods which were inserted for corrective maintenance work.
