NIAGARA MollAWK POWER CORPORATION l NINE MILE POINT NUCLEAR STATION UNIT #1 NARRATIVE OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE The station operated during the month of September 1997 with a Unit Availability Factor of 48.1% and a Net Design Electrical Capacity Factor of 44.8%. There were no challenges to the Electromatic Relief Valves. Reductions in Capacity Factor were due to a 373.7 hour8.101852e-5 days
0.00194 hours
1.157407e-5 weeks
2.6635e-6 months
ongoing forced outage. On September 15,1997 @ 1018 the unit was removed from the grid to make repairs to the Emergency Condenser (tube leaks). Other factors contributing to lost generation were control rod insertions on September 3,4 & 5,1997 for maintenance work arxl a control rod sequence exchange performed on September 6,1997.
