.TMI ITEM lll.D.l.1: LEAKAGE OUTSIDE CONTAINMENT

$ Georgia Power Company hereby submits a report regarding the results of leakage examinations conducted during the. Spring 1990 refueling outage for the.Vogtle Electric Generating Plant- Unit 1. Certain systems were examined for leakage.

outside containment pursuant to item 111.D.1.1 of.NUREG-0737. For the liquid systems, the leakage survey was performed at, or as near as practical, to operating temperattres and pressures. Leakage paths were identified visually.

Gaseous system leakage was measured using a leak rate monitor.

i The following systems were leak tested:

Residual Heat-Removal System 1

Containment Spray System'(Excluding the Na0H portion) a 7 ;i . Safety injection-System (Excluding the Accumulators) r

[5 Chemical and Volume Control System (Letdown, Charging) lig -Post Accident Sampling System  ;

[ Nuclear. Sampling System (Pressurizer Steam and Liquid Sample Lines, .

L Reactor Coolant Sample Lines, RHR Sample Lines, CVCS Demineralizer, and w- Letdown Heat Exchanger Sample Lines only)

U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commist : on ELV-01973 Page 2-None of the identified leakage was considered to be excessive. Therefore, since 'l the leakage from liquid systems is contained via floor drains and gaseous system leakage is contained'via ventilation filters, the identified leakage was judged

-to be acceptable. However, work orders were issued in an effort to reduce leakage to a level as low as practical.
