VOGTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT CORRECTION TO INSERVICE INSPECTION
SUMMARY
REPORT By letter LCV-1222 dated July 13,1998, the " Owner's Report for Inservice Inspection (ASME Form NIS-1)" was submitted to the NRC for inservice inspection (ISI) activities conducted during the Spring 1998 maintenance / refueling outage at Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Unit 2 (VEGP-2). That report constitutes the ISI summary report submitted to the NRC in accordance with the requirements ofIWA-6000 of ASME Section XI.
While preparing a revision to the ISI program document for the VEGP-2 first ten-year ISI interval, several minor errors were observed in the above referenced ISI summary report and require correction. Specifically, two Class I welds listed in the summary tables included in the report did not contain a notation that limitations were experienced during their volumetric (ultrasonic) examination and required relief. Those particular errors resulted in the number of Class 1 welds having examination coverage limitations being incorrectly identified in the text of the report. Minor editorial changes were also identified as being required in the text to ensure consistency with the summary tables.
None of the changes required to correct the subject report affect the results of the inservice inspection activities or the health and safety of the public. Relief, where necessary, has been requested under separate cover in our letter LCV-1280 dated November 30,1998.
Enclosed are the corrected pages to the VEGP-2 ISI summary report for our Spring 1998 maintenance / refueling outage. A change bar in the margin of the affected pages denotes changes to the report.
