VOGTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING ILANT PHYSICAL SECURITY AND CONTINGENCY PLAN AhfENDhfENT NO. 37 In accordance with 10 CFR 50.54 (p) and 10 CFR 50.4, Southern Nuclear Operating Company hereby submits three copies of Amendment 37 to the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP) Unit I and Unit 2 Physical Security and Contingency Plan. By copy of this letter, two copies of Amendment 37 are being provided to the NRC Region II OfBce.
This amendment includes: 1) changes to Section 4.L2.5 which describe the steps to be taken due to the installation of railroad derailers; 2) a revision to Section 5.3.3.4 to delete the requirement to have a security lock in addition to a high strength cable seal when the seal meets certain pull pressure limits; 3) a change to Section 6.3.1 to incorporate guidance relating to intrusion detection equipment performance test frequency; 4) a change to the Glossary for the dennition of " Security Seal"; and 5) a revision to Section 9.1 to provide the current minimum number of required armed responders. provides the description and justification for the changes, and Enclosure 2 contains the actual Amendment 37 pages.
