By letters dated 9-21-88 (HYS-63) and 12-22-88 (ELV-00107), Georgia Power Company (GPC) responded to Actions 1 and 2 of- NRC Bulletin ~ 88-08. NRC letter dated 1-11-89. stated that a preliminary review of GPC's responses .to- these actions had found them acceptable for licensing of Vogtle Unit 2. Our plan for- implementing Action- 3 was described in GPC letter dated 1-17-89 (GN-1556)._ This plan called for instrumenting unisolable sections of piping to detect adverse temperature distributions.

This instrumentation has now been installed and data colletion has begun.

This letter completes our response to NRC Bu11etir. 88-08 with confirmation of implementation of the monitoring program.
