The purpose of this letter is to inform you of a change to a committed due date contained in reference (a).

The following commitment was made:

The station committed to provide a supplement to LER 265/97015 by 031898 afler completion of the ongoing assessment of the Inservice inspection (ISI) Program and incorporation of corrective actions from the Corporate Root Cause Investigation.

The station has discussed with and received concurrence from the Region III staff to change the duc date for this commitment to 041098. The Notice of Violation and Proposed imposition of Civil Penalties (NRC Special Inspection Report Nos.

50-254(265)-97027) received 031398, raised additional issues that the station considers important to address in both the NOV Response as well as the LER. This extension will
