SUMMARY

OF OPERATIONS May 1993 There were no unit shutdowns or major power reductions during the month of May.

The following major safety related maintenance was performed during the month:

1. Performed miscellaneous corrective and preventive maintenance on the diesel generators.
2. Performed corrective and preventive paintenance and modifications to the Service Water System.
3. Cleaned and inspected the component cooling water heat exchanger and performed miscellaneous maintenance on this component.

JOSEPH M. FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 2 NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

OF OPERATIONS May 1993 There were no unit shutdowns but there was one major power reduction during the month of May.

Unit 2 was manually ramped down to 35% power to isolate the excess letdown heat exchanger due to a tubn leak. The unit returned to 99% power at 1940 on 05/06/93.

The following major safety-rel2ted maintenance was performed during the month:

1. Miscellaneous corrective and preventive maintenance was performed on the diesel generators.
2. Performed corrective and preventive maintenance and modifications to the Service Water System.
3. Cleaned and inspected the component cooling water heat exchanger and performed miscellaneous maintenance on this component.
4. Performed maintenance on normal charging valve HV8146 due to the valve being stuck on the seat.
