l This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. N. M. Terc of this office and
other accompanying personnel during the period July 22-26, 1985, of activities
authorized by NRC Operating License DPR-40 for Fort Calhoun Station, and to the
discussion of our findings with Mr. E. Pape, and other members of your staff at
the conclusion of the inspection.
} Areas examined during the inspection included the implementation of the emer-
, gency plan and procedures during the annual exercise. Within these areas, the
i inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative
records, interviews with peasonnel, and observations by the inspectors. These

findings are documented in the enclosed inspection report.
3 The enclosed report identified deficiencies in your emergency preparedness
program observed during the emergency. exercise. It is requested that you
provide this office with a schedule for correcting these deficiencies within
- 30 days after receipt of this letter.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were

The response directed by this letter is not subject to the clearance
