SUBJECT: NRC ROUTINE INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-285/99-04

Dear Mr. Gambhir:
This refers to the inspection conducted on April 25 through May 31,1999, at the Fort Calhoun
Station facility. The enclosed report presents the results of this inspection.
Based on the results of this inspection, the NRC has determined that two Severity Level IV
violations of NRC requirements occurred. These violations are being treated as noncited
violations, consistent with Appendix C of the Enforcement Policy. These noncited violations are
described in the subject inspection report. If you contest the violation or severity level of these
noncited violations, you should provide a response within 30 days of the date of this inspection
report, with the basis for your denial, to tho Nuclear Regulatcry Commission, ATTN: Document

Control Desk, Washington, DC 20555-0001, with copies to the Regional Administrator, U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory tNMmission, Region IV,611 Ryan Plaza Drive, Suite 400, Arlington,
Texas 76011, the Direct, Office of Enforcement, United States Nuclear Regulatory
Commission, Washington, DC 20555-0001; and the NRC Resident inspector at the Fort

Calhoun Station facility.
