SUMMARY

REPORT Consumers Power Company letter dated February 27, 1987 submitted a Partial Control Room Design Review Summary Report. In that letter we committed to submittal of the final summary-report by September 1, 1987. Attached.is the final summary report. This report contains those appendices which were not complete for the. partial summary report submitted on February 27, 1987. The completed appendices are to be inserted into the appropriate binders previously submitted and the old appendices discarded:

All HED's are now complete which m/eans a suggested resolution for each HED has been formulated by the CRDR team and a resolution code number assigned according to Section-5.3 of'the Program Plan. Also, a tentative schedule date for implementation has been assigned for open HED's and appropriate signatures recorded.

The first sort is by control room inventory item -

number identifying all HED's generated for each item. The second sort is all HED's which do not apply to a specific item. These sorts now include f all HED's. As indicated above, all HED's are complete. q l

General Summaries:

l HED Interaction It was indicated in Section 5.2 and 6.4 of the Program Plan that a check for interaction of HED resolutions would be performed when all HED's were complete. This was accomplished by a computer sort by cratrol room inventory item number identifying all HED's against each item similar to the summary found in Volume VIII. Also, similar.co the summary found in Volume III, a sort was done for all HED's which do not apply to a specific item. All HED's regardless of open or closed status, were I reviewed for conflicts in suggested resolutions for a specific item.

Also those HED's which did not apply to a specific item were reviewed for conflicts with each other and the HED's which applied to a specific item.

This process resulted in the modification of two HED's to eliminate conflicts. l HED Status and Resolution Summary As previously indicated, 2,028 HED's were recorded. Of these, 1,729 have been closed out and require no further action. The clomed out status was achieved by the discrepancy being corrected or the CRDR team determining no action is required. The remaining 299 open HED's require further action.

As indicated in Section 5.3 of the program plan, a resolution code was applied to each HED. Resolution code 00 was assigned to the closed out HED's. The open HED's contain a resolution code from 1 to 10. The following is a brief description of each code and the quantity of open HED's which were assigned that code:
