The Staffinformed the Big Rock Point Site General Manager by letter forwarded January 12, 1999, of the need to resubmit an exemption request from various 10 CFR Part 73 physical protection requirements dated November 12,1998. The exemption request was improperly based on the requirements of 10 CFR 50.12 instead of the applicable requirements of 10 CFR 73.5.
The exemption request was resubmitted by letter dated January 12,1999. I apologize for the 4
inaccurate reference and acknowledge the Staff's continued review of the proposed exemption.
