PAYMENT OF CIVIL PENALTY PER ORDER IMPOSING A CIVIL MONETARY PENALTY NRC letter dated January 31, 1989, concluded that Consumers Power Company's
' December 1, 1988 request for mitigation of the civil penalty is not warranted.
Pursuant to this NRC response and initial order dated September 22, 1988 and 10 CFR 2.205, a wire transfer of funds to the account of the Treasurer of United States for the amount of the Civil Monetary Penalty will be made on March 1, 1989.
