l On June 25, 1998. members of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR) and Consumers Energy Company staff met to discuss: (1) a Request for Additional Information from the NRC dated February 2. 1998, with regard to the Big Rock Point Restoration Project Defueled Emergency Plan and (2) the related Exemption Request from 10 CFP,50 Requirements. Both documents were submitted

by letters dated September 19, 1997.

As a rasult of that meeting, revisions to the defueled emergency plan and the related exemption request are provided as attachments to this letter:

Attachment 1: Defueled Emergency Plan (marked to show changes from the current defueled emergency plan submitted to the NRC in a letter dated March 2. 1998) l Attachment 2: Defueled Emergency Plan (as proposed)

Attachment 3: Exemption Reauest Supplement (Tables 1. 2 and 3)
