Section V of Appendix E to 10 CFR Part 50 requires that each licensee submit one copy of any changes to the emergency plan or detailed implementing procedures for its emergency plan to the Administrator of the appropriate Regional Office specified in Appendix D to 10 CFR Part 20. In addition, this regulation further requires.that the submission be made within 30 days of such changes. A similar regulation involving submission of emergency plans is specified in 10 CFR 50.54(q).

Region III maintains three updated copies of all licensee emergency plans and procedures as part of our incident response and licensing review functions.

These plans and procedures are assigned as follows: one copy each to the Base Team, Site Team, and licensing reviewer. All copies are maintained through our Incident Response Center staff. To ensure that our copies are current, we would prefer that three controlled copies of your emergency plan and procedures be sent to our office. We will acknowledge controlled copy distribution in a timely manner by whatever system you have established.
