Haskell Director, Licensing DOCKET 50-255 - LICENSE DPR PALISADES PLANT REVISION TO THE NATIONAL POLLUTANT DISCHARGE ELIMINATION SYSTEM (NPDES) PERMIT NUMBER MI0001457 RENEWAL APPLICATION This letter transmits a copy of a revision to the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit number MI0001457 renewal application as submitted to the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) on May 13, 1999. This revised copy of the renewal applicaton is being forwarded to the NRC in accordance with Palisades Plant Facility Operating License, DPR-20, Appendix B, Environmental Protection Plan (Non-Radiological), Section 3.2.
The renewal application was revised on request of the MDEQ to clarify the effect of the proposed flow increase on the fisheries of Lake Michigan. The original application for renewal was submitted to the MDEQ, Surface Water Quality Division, on March 30, 1998.
