Dear Mr. Beckman:
SUBJECT:
DETAILED CONTROL ROOM DESIGN REVIEW (DCRDR) AND SAFETY PARAMETERS DISPLAY SYSTEM (SPDS) FOR BIG ROCK POINT (TAC NOS. 51222, 56103, 74600)
By letter dated July 11, 1990 we provided our safety evaluation of the Big Rock Point SPDS. -The safety evaluation states, in Section 3.1, that, "the licensee has committed to relocate the back panel instruments to the front panel during the 1990 refueling outage." Based on the follow-up conversations, we understand that the existing containment dew point temperature recorder on the back panel will be left in place.
Instead two new recorders that provide containment temperature indication will be installed on the front panel.
The staff finds this course of action acceptable.
All other statements in the July 11, 1990 letter remain unchanged.
