This letter refers to the routine. inspection conducted by Mr. T. Rebelowski
and.Mr. R. Winters of this: office on July 17-21, 1989 at the corporate office,
'in Bolton, Massachusetts and at'the plant sites in Rowe, Massachusetts and
Vernon, Vermont. The results of the inspection were discussed with Dr. A. Kadak,-
at Bolton, with'Mr.?St. Laurent at the. Yankee Rowe plant and with Mr. Pelletier
of the Vermont Yankee plant.

provided;to the plants by the corporate' engineering staff. . Areas examined'
are described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report which is enclosed with
this' letter. Within these~ areas, selected examinations of procedures'and
representative records, interviews with' personnel, and observations by'the
inspectors were made.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
