This confirms.our plans as discussed between W. Beckman of your staff and R. DeFayette of this office to have a meeting with you and members of your staf f at The Edgewater Inn in Charlevoix, Michigan, on Monday, July 16, 1990 at 1:30 p.m. (EDT).
The purpose of the meeting is to present the Initial SALP 9 Report for the Big Rock Point Nuclear Plant.
l We encourage you to have appropriate corporate and plant management representation at the meeting to ensure a mutual understanding of the issues i
and findings being presented by the NRC.
While this meeting is considered a presentation and dis,cussion forum between Consumers Power Company and the NRC, the meeting will be opened to any other interested parties as observers. Those persons outside the licensee and NRC staffs should inform the Regional Office of their intent to participate.
