To TAKE LRGAL ACTION IN CONNECTION WITH THE ORDER OF THE NUCLRAR REGULATORY COMMISSION.

Mr.1ngenito offered the following resolution which was seconded by Mr. Gdanski:

WHEREAS, the Legislature of Rockland Coun:y hasi by Resolution No. 538 of 1952, , authorized and directed the. Rockland Coun:y Anorn~ey to institute action agains the Nuclear Regulatory Commission before the United States Court of Appeals regarding the December, 1982 decision of'the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to take no enforcemen; mon agains the Indian Point power plants, and ,

WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 302 of 1983, the Legislature of Rockland County authorized the Rockland County A :orney to institute administra:ive' procedures before the Nuclear Regulatory Commitsion pursuant to 10 Code of Federal. Regulations 2.206, requesting the immediate shutdop of the Indian Point power plants, and WHEREAS, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission is scheduled to isstie a furthe-
