Dear Mr. Thompson:
Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.91 (b), the Illinoir Department of Nuclear Safety (IDNS) requests that we be contacted before NRC issues a license amendment for an Illinois Nuclear Power Plant.
NRC's adherence to the practice of state notification before granting an amendment has been generally acceptable; however, there have been a few cases-wherein IDNS has not been contacted. Examples can be provided if requested.
