Dear Mr. Margulies I am writing to you on behalf of the Board of Education of Valley Stream Union Free School District Thirty, to protest the assumption made that District Thirty's willingness to y participate with the American Red Cross in the case of a O j
natural emergency, could be extended by the Red Cross to any emergency occurring from the atomic energy generators ]
l of Lilco in Shoreham, New York.
Q Thefactthatthedistrictswerenotdirectlycontactek and were presented as a part of the emergency evacuatflon plan was high-handed at best.
The interpretation ofih3 atomic emergency is difficult to define as a "naturaR' emergency, as the original agreement described.
Please consider our concerns in your ovaluation of their 1
proposals for dealing with evacuation procedures in case i
of an emergency.
Sincerely yours, s
William J.
