p.3 s A Concerned citizens of New York and nearby communities strongly urge the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to revoke the operating licenses for IPP2 & 3 and not renew the operating license for IPPl.
These nuclear reactors are I
- among the oldest and worst performing plants in the countryl
- situated within fifty miles of one of the world's densest populations with NO WORKABLE SOLUTION FOR COMPLETE EVACUATIONI
- given a 50% chance of a major accident by the NRCl
- a financial burden to the taxpayers of New York!
It is unconscionable for these plants to remain in operation. Who at the NRC will assume fbil responsibility in the event of a major accident? Your immediate attention to this matter will be gratefully appreciated.
