This letter constitutes an interim report concerning the subject condition, initially reported as a potentially re-portable deficiency under 10CFR50.55(e).

Turning vanes in three large essential ventilation ducts were found to have torn loose causing flow blockage and ex-cessive vibration. This item is of particular concern as the problem involves potential blockage of control room and reactor building ventilation.

This natter is currently under an engineering review for solution. A report will be submitted by July 5, 1982.
