The condition identifies deficiencies'in the distribution and control of design specifications issued:b'y our architectual

. engineer, Sargent & Lundy and is documented on H.J. Kaiser

] Corrective Action Request (CAR) 508.

This deficiency was caused by.a cumbersome system to-

, distribute specifications. To preclude recurrence, applicable i proceduresffor review, approval and distribution of specifications will be revised-to assure 1that approved copies of specifications are distributed in a controlled and, timely. manner.-

The. safety significance of this deficiency _ is difficultito-determine; therefore, it is - being ' treated 'as if it- were reportable.- To assure that : there will be ' no resulting items of c safety significance in the completed ~ plant, the: Plan'for verification of the-Qualityfof construction includes. review of the construction ~against'the1 approved' specifications.

All resulting corrective action will be completed prior to commencement of the PVQC..A' follow-up' report'concerning-our -l progress in-this-matter will be'provided.by January'5, 1984.
