ZIMMER NUCLEAR POWER STATION - UNIT 1 10CFR50.55(e), ITEM 0-14, CONTROL OF DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS W.O. 57300, JOB E-5590, FILE NO. 956C, 0-14 This letter constitutes an interim report concerning the subject condition reported to the Commission on October 13, 1983 as a potentially reportable deficiency under 10CFR50.55(e). Our previous report LOZ-83-0207 was submitted November 10, 1983.

Measures to ensure that approved specifications are issued as controlled documents.are in process. These measures include procedure development, for specification review, approval and distribution in accordance with Project Quality Assurance Manual (PQAM), along with a review of~all previously issued specifications and subsequent reissuance as controlled documents.

As' stated previously, all resulting corrective action will be completed prior to commencement of the Plan to verify the Quality l of Construction.

A final report will be submitted upon completion of the above ,

activities.
