57300, JOB E-5590, FILE NO. 956C, This letter constitutes an interim report concerning the subject condition initially reported to the Commission on January 4, 1983, as a potentially reportable deficiency under the requirements of 10CFR50.55(e).
As stated in our previous letter LOZ-83-0063, dated June 28, 1983.
Henry J. Kaiser Company (HJK) and The Cincinnati Gas &
Electric Company indicated the need to reinspect all essential panel installations for compliance with design document requirements.
HJK has developed and approved two Construction Inspection Plans (CIPs) for the surveillance of paint removal and the inspection of the electrical panel mounting welds.
HJK has been reinspecting the welds utilizing these CIP's.
Foothill Electric Company (FEC) and HJK are scheduled to have the paint removal and inspection effort completed by October 28, 1983.
A follow-up report will be submitted by December 1, 1983.
