ZIMMER NUCLEAR POWER STATION - UNIT 1 10CFR50.55(e), ITEM E-20, INADEQUATE CABLE TRAY HANGER INSPECTION W.O. 57300, JOB E-5590, FILE NO. 956C, This letter constitutes an interim report concerning the subject condition initially reported to the Commission on May 3, 1982 as a potentially reportable deficiency under the requirements of 10CFR50.55(e).

Our previous interim report, LOZ-83-0055, dated June 20, 1983, reported that a reinspection program for accessible cable tray hanger and conduit support welds would be made available for NRC review prior to implementation.

On August 11, 1983, the proposed program, which includes sample visual inspections and destructive testing for determining allowable stresses, was presented to the NRC. Formal submittal of the program, including a request for relaxation of the NRC November 12, 1982 " Order to Show Cause and Order Immediately Suspending Construction" (CLI-8 2-33) per Section IV.B (3) will be made by November 8, 1983.
