Docket No. 50-382

Dear Administrative Judges:

In my transmittal letter of April 20, 1982, forwarding testimony and exhibits to be presented during the hearing session to begin May 3, I noted that rebuttal testimony on Contention 8/9 would be presented on Monday, May 10, and that the testimony schedule for the remainder of the hearing would be forthcoming.

This letter will serve to advise the Board as to the agreements reached among the parties regarding the schedule for the two-week hearing session beginning Monday, May 3. 3 T

SHAw, PITTMAN, PoTTs & TROWBRIDGE Administrative Judges Page Two April 23, 1982 Applicant will begin its emergency planning testimony on May 3 by presenting witnesses Azzarello, Tsaggaris, Perry, Twine, Lucas, Madere, and Myers as a panel on Contention 17/26 (1) .

This presentation will be followed by the Staff's direct testimony on emergency planning issues. However, if the cross examination of Applicant's panel is not concluded by Wednesday, May 5, it may be necessary to interrupt this examination for the Staff presenta-tion, due to schedule conflicts of certain Staff witnesses.

Further, Staff witness Grimes is not available during the week of May 3 and therefore will present his testimony on Tuesday, May 11, following the rebuttal testimony on contention 8/9.

Interrupted cross examination wil.'. be resumed as time allows.

Applicant will also offer the testimony of witnesses Mauro and Myers, as a panel, on Contention 17/26 (2) . If time permits, Messrs. Mauro and Myers will present their testimony during the week of May 3. Alternatively, these witnesses will be available to testify following Staff witness Grimes during the week of May 10.

Sincerely yotrs, s P
