Keppler dated November 30, 1981.

Dear Mr. Keppler:

Reference (a) provided the 180 day response to the subject bulletin for our Dresden and Quad Cities Stations. In our response, we indicated that a number of walls required further evaluation and our estimate for completion of the evaluation effort with submittal of the results to the NRC was January 29, 1982.

This effort has since been completed and the enclosure to this letter provides the results in the form of change pages to the original report. As previously stated in Reference (a), our schedule for completion of the necessary repairs to those masonry walls which were identified as not meeting our acceptance criteria is June 1, 1983. This schedule includes adequate time for design work and procurement o f materials. Additionally, this schedule anticipates the dif ficulties associated with modifying many of these walls which are located in high radiation areas.

To the best of my knowledge and belief the statements contained herein and in the attached report are true and correct.

In some respects, these statements are not based on my personal

-knowledge but upon information furnished by other Commonwealth Edison employees and consultants. Such information has been reviewed in accordance with Company practice and I believe it to be reliable.
