> Water Level Instrumentation in BWRs" which requested that all BWR operating plants furnish a description of their plans to improve reactor water level j metrumentation. The Generic Letter specifically requested information on reference - i leg overheating and mechanical level indication equipment replacement. Reference ]

, L(b) provide the latest schedule for completion of the modification to resolve the issue H on reference leg overheating.

reactor, vessel nozzle to the vessel instrument racks located outside of the drywell. N

. Conunonwealth Edison has identified (through required design reviews) that, in order to achieve the required degree ofinstrument accuracy, pping slope orientation -l in ~Rical. Therefore, to achieve the accurate instrument response; the piping j i miation should be designed based on measurements from the aa-bidA drywell ion. The penetrations will, therefore, be installed during the Refueling ]y

, described in reference (b) and the modification will be completed n the iuent Refueling outage for each unit. j]
