Dear Mr. Eisenhut:

Further to our December 21, 1982 letter (attached) regarding an update of PSAR Chapter 17 we fully expect to meet the June 1983 date in accordance with 10CFR50.54. We had anticipated furnishing a supplement to Chapter 17 last month, but as verbally communicated with members of your staff we required more time for this matter.

When we do make our submittal we will follow the directions for

distribution as now outlined in 10CFR50.54 and will additionally forward a copy of the updated material to your office.

Dear Mr. Eisenhut:

In our October 25, 1982 letter to you on the above referenced subject it was noted we were reviewing Chapter 17 of the PSAR for any required changes as a result of adding the new General Manager, Quality Assurance & Radiological Health & Safety position within our. organization. We also indicated any changes would be submitted in the fann of supplementary information to the organizational section of Chapter 17 prior to December 31, 1982.

Although we could show the addition of this new position with relative ease we have detennined a broader update of Chapter 17 is in order than earlier contemplated so that we might more meaningfully communicate the enhancements to our QA program which result from this change. Also, in our review we've found other information which we feel should be updated to more fully describe our operation. Accordingly, rather than supplying this infonnation before December 31 you should expect a submittal in the February / March '83 time frame.

In the meantime if you should have any questions on this matter please do not l hesitate to let us know.
