SPECIAL REPORT FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM IMPAIRMENTS REQUIRING NRC NOTIFICATION.

PURPOSE Specification (TS) 3.14.5.b requires the submission of a if

'echnical report to the NRC a non-functional fire barrier penetration is not returned to functional status within 7 days. TS 3.14 also states that certain other conditions require NRC notification. In accordance with the above requirements, this special report is being generated in order to notify the NRC.

EVENT'lease Impairments refer to the attached (FPI) being reported.

list for Fire Protection CAUSE FPI 3634, damaged fire door and FPI 3632, damaged thermolag, were found on routine inspe'ctions. FP1's 3609, 3613, and 3629 were issued for the support of backfit construction, work. The plant continues to implement the compensatory measures as applicable.
