SPECIAL REPORT FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM ZMPAIRMENTS REQUIRING NRC NOTIFICATION PURPOSE CI Technical Specification (TS) 3.14.5.b requires the submission of a report to the NRC if a non-functional fire barrier penetration is not returned to functional status within 7 days. TS 3.14 also states that certain other conditions require NRC notification. In accordance with the above requirements, this special report is being generated in order to notify the NRC.

EVENT'ee attached list for Fire Protection Impairments (FPI) being reported.

CAUSE AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS'PI 3418 was issued for the removal and repair of fireproofing impaired for the installation of supports. FPI 3144 is for fire detection taken out of service for welding in the area.

The plant continues,to implement the compensatory measures as applicable.

SPECIAL REPORT FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM IIAPAIRNENTS REQUIRING NRC NOTIFICATION PURPOSE:
