Ms. Patricia G. Norry Director, Office of Administration (Freedom of Information Act Request)

M $f U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D.C. 20555

Dear Ms. Norry:

International Energy Associates Limited (IEAL) is per-forming an analysis of the effects of increased regu-lation on the construction of nuclear power plants.

IEAL would like to compare the NRC inspection efforts at the Peach Bottom, Units 1 and 2 and Limerick. There-fore, IEAL is requesting that the following information be provided under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA);

1. the inspection manhours expended on an annual basis for Peach Bottom, Units 2 and 3; and
2. the inspection manhours extended on an annual basis for the Limerick Nuclear Generating Station from 1970 up to and including 1980.

Because the inspection hours expended at Limerick after 1980 are contained in the Systematic Appraisal of Li-censee Performance (SALP) reports, there is no need to provide the inspection hours expended after 1980.

Since the s:.oject information is being requested in support of a Public Utility Commission hearing, IEAL request that all fees be waived under the provisions of 10 CFR 9.14(a)(2). Should this request be denied, please charge all fees to the account that IEAL main-tains with the Literature Research Company. IEAL is willing to pay all appropriate and reasonable fees up to $300.00.
