The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendments Nos. 229 and 232 to Facility

Operating License Nos. DPR-44 and DPR-56 for the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Unit Nos. 2 and 3. These amendments consist of changes to the Technical Specifications (TSs) in response to your application dated March 29,1999, as supplemented July 21,1999.
j These amendments will delete the surveillance requirement associated only with the refueling platform fuel grapple fully retracted position interlock input, which is currently required by the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Units 2 and 3, TSs Surveillance Requirement 3.9.1.1.
A copy of the safety evaluation is also enclosed. The Notice of issuance will be included in the Commission's next biweekly Federal Reaister Notice.
