Training - The NRC inspector noted that as an immediate terorary measure the licensee had identified l

that tima additional personnel will have received this trainin (0 pen) Deficiency 458/8706-02: Lack of Radiation Control - The NRC inspector noted that the licensee had identified the cause of the problem in that procedures did not saecifically direct the proper emergency elements to ascertain habita1111ty conditions in the control room during accident conditions. The new revisions of procedures EIP-2-013 and EIP-2-017 will direct the OSC coordinator to dispatch, periodically, a technician to the control room to perform radiation and contamination surveys. The licensee has committed to procedure reviews and implementation by August 31, 198 (0 pen) Deficiency 458/8706-03: Deficient Concept of Operations in the OSC - The NRC inspector noted that G5U has committed to retrain Tndividuals and to make necessary changes in procedures by November 30, 1987, to provide a qualified person to relieve the OSC coordinator whenever the latter must attend meetings at the TSC during emergency condition (0 pen)458/8706-04: Delay in Offsite Notifications - GSU in currently pursuing an alternate method to simultaneously provide hard copy notification messages to five parishes and four state agencies. During the NRC inspection, the licensee stated that this will be accomplished by July 30, 198 . Program Areas Inspected The following 3rogram areas were inspected. The inspection included interviews wit 1 cognizant individuals, observation of activities, independent measurements, and record reviews. The depth and scope of these activities were consistent with past findings and with the current status of the facilit Except as noted, the inspection revealed no violations, deviations, deficiencies, unresolved items, or open items.
