5.
Radiation Protection Staff Training The NRC inspector reviewed the training program for RP staff personnel.
The licensee was in the process of revising Station Support Manual Procedure TPP-7-016, " Radiation Protection Personnel Training" to address the RP training program specialized training courses.
The licensee had completed approximately 43 of the 83 course outlines.
The licensee had
,
identified and completed the objectives for these remaining lesson plans.
j The NRC inspector discussed with' licensee representatives the status of the i
RP personnel training program.
The licensee stated that Procedure TPP-7-016 would be' effective after the present refueling outage is complete.
The training course is scheduled for review by the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) before March 1988.
The lack of lesson plans and
!
implementation of a RP staff training program is considered an Open Item (458/8725-01).

Exit Interview j
The NRC inspector met with the personnel identified in paragraph 1 at the conclusion of the inspection on October 2, 1987.
The NRC inspector summarized the scope and findings of the inspection.
