This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. Nemen M. Terc of this office
during the period May 4-8, 1987, of activities authorized by NRC Operating

License NPF-47 for River Bend Station, and to the discussion of our findings

with Mr. W. H. Odell, Manager, Administration and other members of your staff
at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection included:
licensee's audits, shift
staffing and augmentation, changes to the. emergency preparedness program, and
notifications and communications. The inspection findings are documented in the
enclosed inspection report.
Withinthescopeoftheinspection,noviolations,deviafions,ordeficiencies
were identified.
We have also examined actions you have taken with regard'to previously
identified inspection findings. The status of these items is identified in
paragraph 2 of the enclosed report.
