Dear Mr. Denton:

The above ref erenced letter transmitted our report "Geotechnical Verification Work - Report of Results". This report contained minor errors which have no bearing on the results, but should be corrected. The information should be revised as discussed below:

In Section 3.0, " Summary of Results", second paragraph, page 3, and in Section 5.2, " Laboratory Permeability Testing", second paragraph of the permeability measurements should read "8.49 x 10-b page 10,xthe to 5.01 range 10-9 cm/sec" in conformity with the data accurately reported on Table 2 and in Appendix C.

Table 1 Summary of Observation Wells. - A new table is submitted with this letter. The table is revised for clarity to show " elevations" instead of

" depth below ground surf ace" for the columns " Depth to Marl" and "open interval". There was also an error in the "open interval" for well 900, which has been corrected.

l Figures 1 and 3 have been revised for clarification. For example, the previous figures indicated open intervals in depth below reference point.

These are now expressed in reference to elevation to be consistent with other data references.
