ZIMMER NUCLEAR POWER STATION - UNIT 1 10CFR50.55(e), ITEM M-97 JET PUMP INSTRUMENTATION BRACKET WELDS W.O. 57300, JOB E-5590, FILE NO. 956C, M-97 This letter constitutes an interim report concerning the subject condition initially reported to the Commission on September 22, 1983 as a potentially reportable deficiency under the requirements of 10CFR50.55(e).
Examination has revealed ~ that jet pump instrumentation bracket welds were not installed to the design drawing requirements. Twenty-four of the thirty brackets are not completely welded.
CG&E is presently evaluating this item. However, evaluation of the safety significance and resolution of the deficiency will require an extensive evaluation. A follow-up report will be submitted by November 21, 1983.

report under 10CFR50.55(e).
