The reactor vessel internal inspection has been scheduled for refueling outage 9R consistent with 10 CFR 50.55 and Tech Spec 4.2 requirements to complete the inspection by 1992.
Preparation for the RV inspection was originally scheduled for 1989 as contingency for Cycle 8R in the event that unanticipated extension in the lengths of Cycle 6 or 7 would extend the ste:t of the 9R outage past the required inspection window, thus requiring the inspection in 8R immediately following Cycle 7. After the completion of Cycle 6 within the expected duration, it was determined that Cycle 9R will be within the inspection window.
Derefore, the scope and schedule of this project has been changed to include preparation, planning, and implemen-tation to support the 9R outage.
