Also, during this outage. 32 welds were examined for Intergranular Stress Corrosion Cracking (ICSCC) to meet our commitments for Generic Letter 84-11 as documented in our submittal dated October 13, 1986 and accepted by the NRC staff in their letter dated October 28, 1986. No evidence of ICSCC was detected. The examiners, equipment and procedures used were qualified at the EPRI NDE Center in Charlotte. North Carolina. Nominal pipe sizes inspected ranged from 4" through 24" in diameter. For most of these welds this was the first qualified examination while others have now been examined twice and in some cases three times. Weld selection was largely based on stress analyses and examination history in accordance with the guidelines of Generic Letter 84-11.
