I While performing the Unit 2/3 D/G surveillance the diesel failed to start. The ai:t start mo.tors apparently engaged but then disengaged after only a few seconds instead

~ I of the normal 15 second air start.. A second attempt to start the diesel was success-ful. Redundant diesels and all low pressure ECCS systems were tested to be operable.

[£))] Therefore the safety significance of this event was minimal.
