This letter refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Messrs. L. Cheung
and J. Lara of this office on August 14-18, 1989 at'the Haddam Neck Plant in
Haddam, Connecticut. Messrs. Cheung and Lara discussed the findings of the
inspection with Mr. G. Bouchard of your staff at the conclusion of the
inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report' which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
